Responsible to provide clinical guidance and leadership to the Primary Care division’s business units .
Responsible for the measurement, direction and achievement of improved quality of services and for the safeguarding of high
standards of care by creating an environment in which excellence in clinical care will flourish.
Take responsibility for the Quality Management System (QMS), clinical governance and
leadership, clinical excellence (focused clinical improvement projects and initiatives), clinical support and
guidance on digitisation and clinical data and reporting and the Person-centred health and care strategy in the
In addition to the Consistency of Care portfolio, the incumbent is responsible for focused engagements with
doctors and funders from a clinical and efficiency perspective, and the contribution to development and
oversight of products in the Primary Care space.
Providing advice and guidance to the divisional management team regarding a broad range of quality, clinical,
clinical policy, programmatic and strategic issues:

Clinical Governance and Leadership
A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees (MBChB) at a NQF level 7.
· HPCSA registration.
· At least 5 years’ experience in general/operational and strategic management in a corporate environment.
· Intermediate computer and data proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
· Proficiency and experience in the application and management of quality assurance systems.
· Proficiency in stakeholder relationship management in the South African private healthcare environment
